Reviews around sound (4.66 of 5)

  • Too bad as the sound of the unit was very good, much better than I expected.
  • But I found that I had several disc that had sections where I would loose the sound from one speaker, or cracking/popping sound, always at the same place.
  • Horrible machine, terrible function, can't access all cd's loaded, can't read cd info, terrible play back sound- very thin sound

Reviews around product (4.45 of 5)

  • I bought this to replace an aging Sony five disc changer that was having trouble playing CD-R discs that I burn
  • Onkyo is a great product, works well with my Onkyo AVR.
  • Great Product if you don't have a lot of money to spend.
  • and I had the same issue I went to the Onkyo web site and saw the same issue posted there - why are they still shipping a faulty product?
  • Good price for a good product, and have had no trouble with it.

Reviews around changer (4.36 of 5)

  • The other has a poltergeist inside of it that often prohibits the changer from playing one disc after another or letting random play play more than three or four songs before stopping and occasionally making an unfortunate clunk in the physical rotation of the cd platter (although, it has yet to fail a year and a half after heavy play).
  • A fine CD changer, 6 disc capacity is larger than the typical 5.
  • I bought this to replace an aging Sony five disc changer that was having trouble playing CD-R discs that I burn
  • For the price, and for the level of quality, this is the best changer unit out there.

  • When my 1980's cartridge CD player died I searched for a decent replacement and although this doesn't take cartridges (no one does, sadly) it holds six CDs at a time, a big plus!It works smoothly, easy to set up and use and the sound quality is great
  • I have two of these cd players and can, thus, attest to the complete hit-or-miss quality as to build between units.
  • I was useing a walkman CD player with my receiver, I kept reading the reviews on this brand, and when I saw it for such a greatprice I had to get it!!!!I am very impressed whit the sound quality, LOVE the simple Install and operation of this one

  • It's hard to find a CD changer any more but this one is nice and plays all our old CDs well.

Reviews around unit (3.75 of 5)

  • So, I've only had this unit for 2 months, but I already love it.
  • Unit looks good and does exactly what it's supposed to do.
  • This is a nice unit and was easy to connect and love the easiness of playing it.
  • Also, be aware that although it functions OK and easy to set up, the unit is very noisy when it changes from one CD to another - - so much so that you can hear the mechanism from across the room
  • With no history with this, all new to me, --it looks to be a great unit

Reviews around disc (3.72 of 5)

  • the price is right had a disc get loose had to shake player to get out
  • Really like the changer and so many features, e.g., easy to set up, compatible with my Onkyo amplifier, you can even change discs while one is playing, excellent remote control, attractive design, reasonable price
  • It replaced a Marantz 5-disc changer that completely failed one week beyond warranty
  • They seem prone to electronic glitches, refusal to read discs, faulty disc tray mechanism, and poor programming.
  • I guess it is finally time to invest in a lossless hard disc drive system.

Reviews around review (1.83 of 5)

  • The price was half the already low Amazon price, so if it lasts as long as the Teac I am replacing, I will upgrade my review to "really liked it" 10 years from today.
  • After some research and reading reviews i purchased this unit, despite the negative reviews
  • I got it due to the good reviews (close to five stars). You should probably use a coaxial cable to connect to your receiver if your receiver or amplifier has a digital port to connect it to
  • As with any product there are some negative reviews, many of which point to skipping discs
  • I wish I had heeded all the other negative reviews which called this changer “junk”.
