The Follow Me feature is fun to tinker around with although it is only supported by a limited number of devices because GPS is required in the device for the drone to actually follow you (Pretty much just cell phones).

The extended flight time is a great feature but on several attempts I could fly no further than a football field away before I lost video feed.

The app can be set to restrict how high or far the BeeBop can travel which is a great safety feature as you learn

The controller is nice, and it's easy to connect my iPhone to the controller

I got mine 1k away and 150 meters high takes great images and video

With the speed on full and a high wind the drone still gets smooth and steady images

The BB2 camera had better color, and sharper images, but would go "wavy" if the drone moved too fast for the software to keep up

Most if not all of those third party packs are just cheap Chinese knockoff products that are way overpriced.

If you are willing to take it slow and do a lot of practice to avoid collisions, then the Phantom is definitely the better product

So I was finally calling it a day, very happy it went well, bringing her in, and then I clipped a small twig, and it dropped 10 feet to the frozen ground, snapping the $30 cross section (really not fun to repair but is repairable) and a motor casing AND motor which was about $50, plus the grade A foam kind of took a beating, so keep that in mind, if ANYTHING interferes with A prop, your Bebop is taking a dive, hopefully its not over water or a cliff

Parrot has done superior engineering and the app and drone perform flawlessly out of the box

Out of the box the supplied instructions are terrible not enough information hooked everything up according to the directions downloaded the app that the book said to download the drone did not work called customer service they said I downloaded the wrong app reloaded the correct

Heck, the 14mp camera is equal to my digital SLR in quality

I wish there were options to issue 4.5 stars simply because the camera has issues in cold weather

I like that the design separates the motors from most of the other components with elastomers rather than just isolating the camera

The video feedback was bad quality and latency, the FPV goggles are useless

For recording better quality Video I set it to lower speeds specially the rotation.

Flying a drone is addictive and the better quality drones are very expensive

Worst crash I've had so far was from a Red Tail Hawk who apparently did not like me loitering in his territory, took my bebop out at roughly 25' over asphalt

Maybe one day some company will create a drone which is crash proof and does not hurt TV or worse human.

The software digitally corrects for motion and shaking, and does that well

Only if you need to drain the battery to a safe 10 to 15% if you plan on leaving it for a while (just hover in one spot)-Not the best clarity but an impressive digital stabilization feature, plus they are the future, gimbals will be goners soon, too much $-FAST, 40 MPH top speed, let me tell you its fun, it does banked turns and even does flips, not that I use them but for a drone this size its cool-$499 is the price point, anything more and the value decreases more

As for video quality, I was really impressed because I read a lot of negative reviews on Bebop 2.

There are some negative reviews, can't speak for those, but I would think some are user error

I personally do not like writing negative reviews but I believe other customers should know what happened to us

The drone is set to go up 300 feet, I got 36 by the apps tracking on my iPhone and lost connection, this time however it did "return home"

I panicked and hit the wrong button where it made contact with deck

DO NOT trust the home button...or you will lose your drone.

Once I no longer crash the mini drone, I will be experienced enough to take this big bird in the back yard, without crashing or having it fly off on me into the sunset by pressing wrong buttons
