Reviews around sandwich (4.81 of 5)

  • Ham and cheese sandwiches are the bomb
  • It makes the best grilled paninis, sandwiches and grilled steak
  • Steaks grill to perfection, hot sandwiches are delicious.
  • I know that not the most scientific method to test, but sandwiches are browner on bottom than top as well
  • Love this unit well made and makes the best sandwiches.

Reviews around feature (4.80 of 5)

  • Great for the price, but I would like the sear feature to last a little longer
  • Dual side, adjustable heating option is a great feature
  • The lower end unit doesn't have enuf useable features and looks plain ugly.
  • The features are a little hard to understand, and practice and a little trial and error are necessary to feel comfortqable with its use.
  • The sear feature and adjustable hieght features are perfect.

Reviews around machine (4.78 of 5)

  • Overall, is a fine machine and so far we really like it.
  • This is a versatile machine and I’ve been pleased with it
  • Try making Parmesan crisps or cheddar crisps with the griddler because this is something that this machine does unbelievably well
  • Because of this the machine fell off of the counter breaking the handle.
  • It’s really not a good machine to make pizza neither was the smaller off brand

Reviews around appliance (4.67 of 5)

  • The appliance was used and shipped to me dirty!
  • (I did have to pay shipping for the replacement as well as for the return of the old one.)
  • It doesn't drain grease as well as I would like since the bottom plate sits at
  • It doesn't drain too well as I believe some others have mentioned.
  • The grease splatter covers the appliance.- It doesn't taste like it was on a

Reviews around plate (4.48 of 5)

  • The top plate, even though it made a click into the brackets and seemed to be locked in place, has come loose twice.
  • The top plate does not get as hot as the bottom one same as first one I owned
  • The bottom plate lies flat so grease sits between the raised grill surfaces rather than running into the reservoir, but below the food, so not an issue.
  • It's a little finicky to put the top plate back on the griddler
  • You can avoid this by locking the top plate everytime you open it

Reviews around product (4.42 of 5)

  • I called to try and get cuisinart to help with the shipping cost to send back their faulty product
  • Cuisinart acted like it was my fault their product was defective
  • (we sold you a defective product and think you should pay us for it fee) plus pay for shipping.
  • Excellent product for kitchen - Great price of one can get another at same price
  • Making customers pay extra for your faulty product isn't a good policy.

Reviews around heat (4.40 of 5)

  • The electrical plug extremely heating, alomst burned my fingersTried differnt outlets with similar problemNot recommended
  • I gave it 3 stars because the top dosen't heat as well as the bottom.
  • The owners manual states that smoking is normal when heating the grill for the first time.
  • Heating elements are not built in, so heating is uneven top and bottom
  • It got to where it just could not recover heat to the griddles after putting food on them

Reviews around griddler (4.17 of 5)

  • This griddler is great--far better than the original model.
  • The regular, less expensive Cuisinart Griddler, is not 1800 watts and doesn't get the 500*F that this appliance does
  • The griddler offers an easy method of cooking, though a bit messy around the appliance
  • but I had to return the defective griddler (at my expense) and the postage was half the price of the original price of the griddler
  • Sure, It might cost you 2-3x as much as a cheap plastic griddler, but the quality is unmatched

Reviews around griddle (3.97 of 5)

  • This griddle was slightly more expensive, but the features and easy removal of the gridding plates make the unit a bargain
  • the drain.=========A few minutes ago we realized after trying to heat our meal, the top griddle is dead
  • I wanted a nice griddle, so I picked Cuisinart and paid the price
  • Poached eggs first with pancake ring on griddle smooth plate side
  • Unfortunately the flat griddle provides only a tiny drain at the back of the plate for grease to run into the drip pan

Reviews around cook (3.84 of 5)

  • With that said, the reason why I bought this multi use griddler was to save space, so if that is a concern for you, make sure to check the measurements before buying! In all, I have used it only a handful of times since I bought it last year, but that is mostly because of not having the cabinet clearance to use it without some dangerous mid-cooking maneuvers
  • It works great as far as cooking the meat evenly and fast
  • I did have to put the meat directly on the center of it due to abv poss issue (and not towards the outsides; this also limited my additional items cooking on the grill-base).I seared twice (at beginning of grilling, and midway thru), added more scallions to the grill trying to keep them more centered
  • It works great as far as cooking the meat evenly and fast
  • Messy on a very greasy cook, like hamburgerI couldn't find waffle plates available for this unit

Reviews around thing (3.78 of 5)

  • One thing I never thought about is that because you're essentially cooking twice as fast, you're losing much of the sear on both sides because the meat is not cooking as long.
  • This is the best thing since the invention of the stove.
  • After using this unit for a bit, I can say that I love everything about it, but one thing
  • This is problematic if you're not ready for the thing to come loose from its position while its hot
  • The searing feature is a nice thing to have, too, and it works very well for fish filets

Reviews around grease splatter (3.48 of 5)

  • It doesn't drain too well as I believe some others have mentioned.
  • it was because of the grease splatter that found it's way UP to the microwave
  • It doesn't drain grease as well as I would like since the bottom plate sits at
  • There is some grease splatter on the counter around the unit when using thicker cuts of meat, say > 1 1/2".
  • (I did have to pay shipping for the replacement as well as for the return of the old one.)

Reviews around fry pan (2.85 of 5)

  • (I did have to pay shipping for the replacement as well as for the return of the old one.)
  • I've made these in the oven and in a fry pan, so decided to test them on the griddle
  • It doesn't drain grease as well as I would like since the bottom plate sits at
  • Otherwise my fry pan served me well and it will continue to be what I reach for.
  • I have not had any problems with it, it works just as they said it would

Reviews around design flaw (2.61 of 5)

  • Cuisinart Griddler Deluxe in theory is a good product but it has a very serious design flaw
  • I have not had any problems with it, it works just as they said it would
  • But the second time it happened I realized that it was a design flaw.
  • It doesn't drain grease as well as I would like since the bottom plate sits at
  • It's really disappointing but a simple design flaw can completely ruin and otherwise decent griddle.

Reviews around drip pan (2.37 of 5)

  • plates are reversal able, the drip pan is in the back, and you can raise top sompaninis are not smashed.
  • Also, the drip pan seems to have melted (it's on the back of the unit) so I can't remove it to clean it.
  • It doesn't drain too well as I believe some others have mentioned.
  • I have not had any problems with it, it works just as they said it would
  • Rear drip pan appears to be well conceived and since it is mounted within the chassis of the machine, not prone to accidental movement or spillage.

Reviews around egg (1.38 of 5)

  • It does not works well for making scrambled eggs since the eggs run off the drain.
  • I love it for making omelets, pancakes, and scrambled eggs.
  • It is wonderful for scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, quesadillas, chicken breasts, hamburgers, etc.
  • Very easy to clean, works well for just about anything you want to use it for, just don't try to make scrambled eggs, as the slanted surface will cause them to run into the grease collector.
  • There is one flaw however, if making pancakes or scrambled eggs on the flat surface; the device will drain any liquids into an overflow drip tray at the back of the device
