We used the bun warmer infrequently, and when we did, we wrapped the buns in paper towels to keep them from drying out.

I would rate 5 stars because it works great for cooking the hot dogs and keeping them warm, but the bun warmer on top doesn’t really warm the buns

So I wrap the buns in a damp paper towel before putting them inside the lid without the damp paper towel the buns became rock hard and would crumble

I purchased this so that we could have a rotating supply of food for games or races and the buns get hard if they are left in the warmer for any length of time, after they finally get warm.
