it not to heavy, battery life is wonderful, and a great screen.
The E drive also not there, lack of partition but overall this laptop can consider very fast
( i didn't have another computer to use ), then rebooted the computer, changing the BIOS to boot from USB, loaded windows 10 to the ssd, then ran msconfig to delete the 1T original hard drive from the boot option, thought I was all set
n’t had any issue with the processing power of it and the battery lasts a pretty reasonable amount of time.

Very poor screen quality, but if in the market for budget friendly laptop this fit the bill.
The build quality at the seams is poor around the screen.
They are dumping faulty hardware into these and selling them for $350
If you get a functional laptop you probably will never have to deal with these folks, but I'm batting a 1000 on Acer products here with failed hardware shipped in them.

If you're looking for something really high-tech, you might want something else, but I just watch videos, attend online school, and spend a great time reading, writing, and browsing the internet

Wow, it had a very hard time multi-tasking the basic start up functions
Bootup is typical for a Windows 10 machine, not fast but not especially slow
it's best pause all Windows Store app updates and use the internet until it done or it'll slow down the Windows 10 update
After the transfer completed successfully, I did a "Fresh Start" to get a perfectly clean Windows install without any of the useless trial software which Acer is famous for burdening its laptops (and their users) with

Not too much crapware was installed, but I despise any pre-installed anti-virus software solution because of the degradation in performance.

Norton anti-virus is a very aggressive program, and when McAfee got installed during a Flash update, having two intrusive, aggressive anti-virus programs open at the same time made the computer chug so much, I thought it crashed.
Thank God for Amazons return policy, I shipped it back the next day.
Totally ruined my day.
i had to lose 10 days of use and when it was returned it was not fixed.
It feels sturdy, it's not too heavy, and it comes with a disc drive, which is increasingly hard to find on computers these days
If you just need something that can handle basic every day tasks like email, word processing, web surfing and things like that this machine definitely fits the bill.
Even after I provided all details (model number, serial number, etc) they refused to answer the basic question of how to remove the battery unless I gave them my address, my email address, my cell phone number, my social security number, and the names and addresses of all of my children, grandchildren, and business associates (and that is only a slight exaggeration).
On the Boot page, Windows Boot Manager was showing the model number for the HDD1.The boot time into Windows was much faster.

The WD Blue 1TB NVMe drive does work great however and its top speed is only held back maybe 30% from being in x4 mode when I benched the drive in my desktop at x2 and x4 but that's only in benchmarks
The 1TB hard drive makes storing all my images and files hardly a concern and it will also run Paint.net smoothly

The TB hard drive is a nice asset for a computer in this price point.

If you buy this, upgrade the hard drive to SSD or you will be sorry.
I would not recommend this laptop unless you plan to replace the hard drive with an SSD
Up until the hard drive failure, I really enjoyed my Acer.

8th gen i3 suddenly came alive when it wasn't waiting for the slow boat from china HD.My review still stands concerning screen quality.
