Will grind whole cinnamon sticks to a fine powder in seconds.
Perfectly grinds large quantities to a coarse powder.
This little grinder can even grind cinnamon sticks to a fine powder, BUT cinnamon sticks dull blades.
In seconds it turns all of my nuts, seeds and more into a fine powder
you can make a grainy powder out of any nut.

The thing that does not give good looks is that after grinding I always get some spice dust on the outer edge spilled out
Good size, nice looking, but none of that matters if the thing breaks after the first use.
That needs to be removed before you can slip the motor out of the housing in order to get a better look at it
Great looking grinder with removable metal grinding chamber

First of all the stainless steel cup did not come off from day one
This grinder makes a breeze of it, and the stainless steel grinding cup does not retain odor, so I can grind cumin for curry, and then cardamom for cookies without lingering off-tastes.
At first glance the design of the Cuisinart SG-10 Electric Spice-and-Nut Grinder had everything I was looking for: One touch easy use, removable stainless steel grinding bowl for easing cleaning and a nice slick stainless steel outer case.
The stainless steel cup broke off of the base and can't be removed.
my guess is because the clearance between the blade and stainless steel container was too high

Very easy to use, and does a good job, easy to clean as well.
We use it primarily for grinding Indian spices and it did a really good job in a few seconds
The trouble is that it just doesn't do a very good job at grinding.
It's wonderful to use, does an excellent job and so easy to clean
I find the machine is easy to use, does a great job and is very easy to clean.

I'm hoping Cuisinart will replace it so will update if I hear from them, but really bummed as I liked the grinder for what I was doing
I would definitely recommend this grinder as i found it to be a very useful utilty product for a reasonable price.
Very Good Product and the price is excellent.(Recommend)
Not worth the price
it is a quality product for a good price, very attractive in brushed metal, and looks nice next to my cuisinart breadmaker

(Any size motor will burn out if you do this
I'm hoping Cuisinart will replace it so will update if I hear from them, but really bummed as I liked the grinder for what I was doing
If the nuts and spices are dry or light it does not work very well in grinding to a fine size.
Perfect size for small amount of spices, very easy to clean.
The size and shape and method of use are all appealing, but it simply isn't tough enough to handle even the lightest loads

This is the only grinder she will use for hot peppers and dehydrated lemon rind, the flavors don't mix because of the stainless steel bowl
The stainless steel work bowl is nice, previously I ruined a the plastic work bowl in a grinder by grinding cloves; the clove oil caused the plastic to degrade
I was very excited when I received this spice grinder because unlike most grinders you can take the bowl out and clean it well.
The bowl became loose but it would not disengage from the base of the unit
After each use the bowl became increasingly difficult to remove

why would i want to fill a smaller cup more than twice to grind all the spice i need
My rating isn’t 5-stars because I need a replacement already as the cup is jammed on its base
The stainless steel cup for grinding looks like it can hold a lot, but really it is most effective with 1/4- 1/2 cup in it.
Especially like removable stainless steel grinding cup.
It died when I was trying to grind up a half cup of quinoa into meal

I did find that a burr grinder preserves more of the seed oils, but this little product is very reliable and works great.
The resistance on the motor caused from the oil can cause the motor to overheat and destroy the product
I like Cuisinart (pans), but honestly this is a crappy product.
Great Great Product and would highly recommend to buy this
It still works for now, but I do not recommend this product.

For coarse ground spices like pepper just go in short bursts and gently shake it while grinding
Overall, I think it would be perfect used for its intended purpose, as there shouldn’t be much dust when grinding nuts, etc.
Cracked the lid after the first use - grinding a handful of chopped walnuts.
I love that the cup is removeable and washable; however, the blade inside is too wobbly to get a fine grind on my spices
Which is bad if you are grinding espresso beans or things like cinnamon.

I like to make my own chili and curry mixes and this machine really does the trick, especially with peppercorns and seeds
The machine grinds well as long as you don't overload the work bowl.
But this pathetic little machine stopped working after the second or third LIGHT use
I absolutely LOVED this machine for the few months that it worked
It is abest machine to grind nuts and also to pulvarize some legumes used in thai receipe like peanute and coarse almonds.

This thing has worked so well for me that I bought one for a family member to use
I don't know what all the fuss is with the bad reviews, this thing works great
When I have to grind a spice mixture, which is quite often, I'm always amazed how well this little thing works.
Best thing is being able to take off cup with blade in it to wash
This thing is awesome...grinding hot peppers that were previously well dried in a dehydrator grinds the whole pepper down to very fine powder in only a few seconds

I noticed that almost every negative review stated that the motor stopped worked the first time they used it
The only problem is the first time I used it it over heated and stopped working.
I would rather have buttons or knobs and know that the grinder works every time or Led lights that show when
It was very disappointing, but because it was within the return period Amazon replaced it for free and we got a new one, this time it worked well for 2 months and again stopped just like th previous one did, and I hv no chance to return or replace it with Amazon again
The first one - motor stopped working the first time I used it

The motor on this burned up the first time I used it and I used it according to the instructions.
The motor is pretty powerful and the unit is very useful for its purpose
Motor burned out on this spice grinder after minimal use for less than a month.
The motor burned out and stopped working after only two uses
However, after the second use, while grinding the flax seeds, the motor just stopped

I bought this to grind whole spices used in Indian food
Called cuisinart customer service and they were useless, because by the time we had used
the cheaper ones that I have used in the past last for at least two years if not more
I love this tool and have used it regularly since I got it to prep herbs and spices, and it is such a life and time saver!
Very disappointed in Cuisinart - it used to be a brand name to trust for high quality.

Like many of the the other reviewers I bought this in the hopes of having a good, easy to clean spice and nut grinder.
Cuisinart Nut & Spice Grinder, this spice grinder works great, removable stainless steel cup, powerful motor, plenty of space to grind up a good amount of whatever
i do have smaller that i use for spices and i bought this one to grind the nuts.
Have used for about 30 years a coffee grinder to grind nuts and seeds

Didn't really grind the walnut pieces to a finer state.
The piece of nutmeg had somehow gotten wedged, stopping the blade forcefully
One problem with the bowl assembly being all one piece is that it's very difficult to clean the blades.
My small Kitchen Aid mixer popped a something or other inside an died (fortunately I have a large pro model, too), my immersion blender of 25+ years finally broke the tiny plastic piece that spins the shaft

I got this the other day to grind the herbs and spices I've been drying from my garden.
And a bonus for me...she gives me free herbs at the perfect consistancy.
Realistically, the product does not do a good job of grinding leafy herbs like cilantro or parsley unless you use *very* small amounts.
