A few months ago, I bought my first Anker charging case-I had previously purchased charging cases for other iPhones, and already had 2 charging hubs (one for the desk and one for the car) made by Anker that we couldn't live without, and the reviews were pretty positive, plus the price was a heck of a lot lower than the mophie, which I had originally purchased then returned due to it getting very hot every time it charged
The cheaper price of the Anker probably equates with its under-performance.
This case has a nice feel to it, charges the phone as advertised, and at a good price

Thirdly and this is a HUGE problem as well (not sure if others have this issue either) but the second I press the button to start charging, my phones suddenly loses service
Terrible customer service and terrible product that it would stop working after a month
no service and the button to turn the case on and off is jammed and hard to use now

Poorly designed by having thin edges that broke in first week, mini charging port would not hold cord and finally, battery would not fully charge and started to overheat.
great design but use of microusb for iphone is frustrating no reason they could not haved a lightning connector

You could NOT pay me to purchase another Anker product, the two I have are cheaply made, poor design, little protection for phone, doesn't hold a charge, barely will recharge less than 1/4 of my iphone bringing it to 23% charge after draining the units charge essentially garbage I gave to Goodwill
It would be 5 stars except for one bad design decision: the charging port is micro-usb, not Lightning.

I didn't find it to charge my phone as well as it states
The plastic around the volume buttons is thin and broke with the first 2 months
Worked great, only think is the plastic is easy to break on the edges where the volume buttons are, as well as the case turns on sometimes in your pocket.
The plastic is very cheap and broke within a couple of weeks of receiving

However one major flaw makes this case nearly unusable, the power button
,I would definitely recommend this case to my friends, the only flaw was the power button,it will turn on every five minutes in my pocket,everything is good just the power button is extremely annoying.
Another dislike: The fragile power button on the back of the case

Anker promptly replaced the unit and the replacement works fine.
Inasmuch as the lightning plug is utilized for re-charging, this unit could be very convenient if it could be re-charged with a lightning cord, and not have to be removed in order to do so
It just hasn't help up with time.2nd update ---Ankler reached out to me about the defective unit I had and sent me a replacement.
If this lasts and the original defective unit was an anomaly (or if it doesn't last just like the old case), I will update my review again.
Hopefully it's just a defective unit and a replacement can be sent

Other than those couple issues, I do adore this case, and even bought one for my dad when he upgraded his phone
Pros - great battery life and charging on the phone - no issues with loss of charge / recharge capacityCons - case has cracked extensively at the base near the speaker ports, along the right-side seam and both thin sections near the volume and power buttons - once cracked it is all downhill from there, just like a crack in your car windshield it will only get worse - total loss of structural stability to keep the phone secure in the case (but it will still charge)
I have had my iPhone for over a year and i have never had a problem with a cracked phone or issues
Best thing is that they fixed the annoying issue where you can accidentally press the power button without realising

I purchases this case for my wife because she sometimes works long hours and due to the iPhone crappy battery life she needed something for backup, however this case hinders the cell reception to a point that she had to take it off and keep it off.
I lost reception near my house (where I always have reception)
I ended up taking off the Anker case after the second day, while waiting for the Trainium to arrive, and immediately stopped having problems with missed texts, no reception, etc.
It's not so bulky b/c its slim which is extremely nice
I am very disappointed to report that it absolutely kills your cellular reception

Some people have complained that when you press the button it's starts charging but all you have to do is hold down button to turn off charging
Some people might not like this because it does make the buttons harder to press, but I actually think this is a pro because it makes the buttons less likely to be pressed accidentally

Had to cut the female end off as I did not need that part as it hard wired into the motor home and did not plug in.
The replacement product resolved all my earlier complaints - so far there's no faulty wiring to cause the on again/off again charging problem I was expecting, the case seems to hold the charge in reserve to use on the phone later
