I spent way to much time looking for a better option because of that post and ended up back to this device each time after weighing all the things i needed.

This thing is tiny--a very compact travel router option

I wanted a router to plug into an existing modem/router and provide a new wireless network, but the options I needed weren't available in the basic settings -- I had to go into the advanced settings and experiment a bit (a bit of guess-work and testing) to get the router working the way I needed/wanted

The Pros- nice light weight compact package

Customer support - I have contacted customer care regarding my concerns but it took them 4 days to respond to my email

However most things you want including upnp and OpenVPN are already in the easy GUI!

It has a custom "easy" GUI and if you want you can drop into a full OpenWRT LUCID GUI

The Pros- nice light weight compact package

I have been struggling with this for over a week while traveling

I used to have a TP-Link travel router that worked well until it died.

I came from the DIR-510L and this router is by far the best travel router I have used

Awesome travel router, serious power and configurability in a small package

This product has a critical security flaw: there is no way to change the router administrator password once it is initialized during setup, except for doing factory reset, which is a stupid way to have to to change your password because you also lose your entire configuration in the process

But learn how to use it before posting negative comments on a great product

All devices shielded by VPN whenever i go out to the hotel or coffee shop / library wherever... great product

This product is also great for dealing with strict NAT issues with the Xbox

This thing is useless for travel.

So for less than $50, this thing is capable of handling a whole household of gadgets

While I absolutely love the size and flexibility of this router, there are certain things that this router can definitely do better, especially considering its price range and description
