I had to buy a Brother MFP under urgent circumstances when my well worn and beloved Canon printer died in the middle of a time sensitive, high volume job after several years of excellent service.
Poor product, poor customer service
With Mac installations, O/S 10.7's and below, only the drivers that come with your O/S will work.

The quality of the output is great and the "silent mode" works nicely when I want to print while family members are still sleeping.
We print ALOT daily and this fast and very economical, also the quality is excellent.
HP support team admits that you cannot turn the Wireless off - you can only "disable it", but it's still emitting electromagnetic frequencies at 6 millivolts / meter (radiation is just about as bad as when you're talking on the phone).
The quality of the print was terrible, when I tried to print envelopes or labels it would only print one envelope or sheet of labels at a time and they were skewed and smudged
Response time is very quick and quality of printing is excellent

I like the full size toner that comes with the printer, but not terribly thrilled about the replacement toner price.

The machine now refuses to work after a couple of months and jams the paper
we have had this machine for almost five months and it is already broken.

Running scans from the printer control menu and saving to the computers doesn't work as well with all the computers (or we haven't figured out how to set it up correctly).
Downloading the firmware and installing did not work as good as the Easy Set-up.
