JVC Flat Headphones - Red (HAS160R)
Color:Red
The JVC HA-S160 FLATS are stylish, compact headphones with a slim metallic headband and sleek, soft ear pads that rest on the ear. The earpieces pivot so that the headphone can lie flat, making them ideal for listeners who want a lightwei...
Very worth the money though despite these two minor complaints
Its an on-ear phone for the student/commuter that only wants to risk ear bud money
Although these are economical, don't waste your money on ordering.
Maybe we got part of a bad batch of these since we bought them all at once, but after three tries I'm not wasting any more money to test that possibility
Put it this way.... as long as jvc continue to make quality sounding headphones at bargain prices I will never waste my money on overpriced beats by Dre or Bose......
I also like their compact size and very comfortable even if wearing them for a long time.
The price is right, the quality is good, and the size is perfect.
Down to 3 stars from 4 stars after breaking!I share an office with three others and I often like to listen to music while I work
but if I am listening to music or watching a movie and don't want to disturb my roommates I much prefer external headphones as buds can make your ears itch
These headphones are much smaller on the ear than most, but the sound quality is fantastic and the small size makes them very portable.
My only complaint is the small earpieces sit on the ear, not over it, but I knew that going
They would work much better in a low noise environment as, again they are not studio headphones
I was going to add "for the price" but honestly, I think they sound nearly as good as my Bose QC 25, though they don't have noise cancelling, of course.
Wish they were not broken as they looked great, small not heavy or bulky and would have been comfortable to wear
The bass doesn't sound as rich as on the expensive pair of headphones I no longer use, but it sounds much better than the cheap headphones I was using
The packaging (hard plastic) made it very difficult to get these out
Headphones look good, but too much plastic, good sound quality,I use it to connect the phone to listen to music
As a workaround, I unscrewed the sides, replaced the broken plastic parts with wooden dowels (for rigidity) and then used electrical tape to secure the headphones in place.

The headphones didn't hold up for me and broke when I tried to open the rigid plastic packaging.

As those who have these tabs know, you cant hear them when there is any background noise
I work in a cube farm, so these cut down on background noise and conversations, but not so much that I can't hear when someone wants to talk to me
They fit my ears really well, however, and block a reasonable amount of background noise.

I hate earbuds and was researching headphones that were budget friendly, but great quality
I hate earbuds and was researching headphones that were budget friendly, but great quality
But I can't use earbuds, and I prefer small headphones that fit over my head.

I am not a headphone expert, but I've owned every type from cheap earbuds to professional studio monitor headphones, and these are easily among my favorites.

don't really surround your ears, so they really aren't great for blocking noise
JVC has some nice earbuds that do a better job of blocking noise
Since blocking noise isn't really a selling point of these headphones, I won't lower the stars
I will keep my $150 Axent Wear headphones, or these bad boys with me from now on
I actually have a little headphone amplifier (that I pair with my AKGs when I'm really trying to perpetuate my tinnitus), but no need on these bad boys
Also my boys love them
I am looking forward to going to the gym and rocking these bad boys out
Go ahead and scoff and shake your heads at this silly boy making such rash comparisons.

The JVC HA-S160 FLATS are stylish, compact headphones with a slim metallic headband and sleek, soft ear pads that rest on the ear
The earpieces pivot so that the headphone can lie flat, making them ideal for listeners who want a lightweight, easily packable headphone, but who prefer a headband/on-the-ear style
A 30mm Neodymium driver in each earpiece allows the headphones to deliver clear, crisp sound
And the soft ear pads further enhance sound quality by providing a seal against ambient sound
The JVC HA-S160 Flats come in six iPod matching colors: black, white, red, violet, blue and pink
The headphones come with a four-foot (1.2m) cord and an iPhone -compatible plug.
