Great price, good sound (especially for the sale price), but loses a star cause the instructions suck and it feels like the jack needs lube...
An outstanding sound quality and available at a very decent price.
bought it for a good price, and the sound quality is nice.
the entire soundrange is crips, no matter how loud i pushed them (heavy metal to orchestral soundtrack like darksouls) if brilliant sound for a cheap price is wanted (i got em on blackfriday sale for 99,-
Price is reasonable for the quality sound and construction
Great quality for the price, I would definitely recommend this product.
My product came very cold (from trucking I suppose) and the ear cups were very stiff and hard but after being in room temperature for a few minutes they softened back to original state and they are just as comfortable as everyone has been saying
Did a demo on my PC as well as smartphone and the product is severely lacking.
Not my type of sound but overall good design and product
Sennheiser did it again and made another fantastic product
I got these for my son for Christmas and he love the sound and comfort of these head phones.
It's ironic because again with the original 598, my big issue with them was comfort
The comfort of these can't be overstated, a huge plus for those getting headaches from wearing some of the supposedly better sounding but too clampy $200-plus headphones
I not only love the sound quality, but also the comfort
Great sound quality, great quality materials and wonderful comfort
I decided to try these out because of all the good things ive heard about Sennheiser
One thing that made me returned this headphone is because the tension/discomfort that I felt when I wear the headphones with my
This things sound amazing, but be warned, they are huge!
(I have to get close to my computer if I want to use it, but this wouldn't be an issue for smartphone users.)this thing can be really loud when plugged into a half decent sound card, I have it plugged into my SupremeFX embedded motherboard sound
The midrange is a bit weird, good for vocals, but it's quite a bit above what is normal, which is not necessarily a bad thing in my ears, but could be in other peoples ears
I found the cable to be impacting sound quality as well
The problem is, I didn't want to compromise on sound clarity or quality, and it also had to have a detachable cable so I could use my microphone with it
The only gripe that I have with these headphones is the cable
one side of the earphone has no sound, I don't know if the cable is faulty or the earphone
Comes with two cables, a portable cable with a mic, and a long cable with a quarter inch plug on the end
As far as the noise isolation goes, the ambient noise is still noticeable but is definitely reduced
Comfort is a key selling point for this headset; The ear cups are large enough to nestle around your ears, and the foam rings attenuate most of the ambient noise
I can't say I'd pay $300 to buy another pair if these broke, but I think I will enjoy them as much as I can from now on
I'm no audiophile, so I won't get into all that lingo and technical jargon, but I will say that while they do lack a bit of bass as others have indicated, I think the bass sounds real clean and precise (as well as
Amazing sound quality, very comfortable though they have a fair amount of pressure on the head but this works well to block out ( i would say ) 80% of ambient noise
Do not buy if you are a bass head looking to boom away as they are meant to be accurate representations of the artists recording.
Attempting to wipe them away is a hassle as they seem to enjoy further rolling into the fabric
I can't say I'd pay $300 to buy another pair if these broke, but I think I will enjoy them as much as I can from now on
Closed back almost completely eliminates background noise when trying to concentrate in a noisy environment.
headphones cover my ears completely without feeling bulky, and it provides fairly good sound isolation (completely blocks out background noise and keyboard clicking; can still make out conversations).-I also like the interchangeable cords, and they have a nice slide lock mechanism built in to prevent accidental slippage.-Great design overall
I have another open back design of Sennheisers and I am able to turn up the volume on those pair without disrupting people around me with my music
You can travel with them and not annoy the people sitting next to you, but a microphone will still pick up whatever comes through them at normal levels.
However, most people do prefer a "closed" sound blocking design, and thus the 598CS was introduced
Some people say that the 598cs sound much better after burn in, but I struggle to believe they will get drastically better
Personally, I don’t like bothering other people with my music so I will never wear these out in public -
The headband is made of padded leatherette and the ear cups of a very soft velour material (also replaceable!)l
They sound excellent plugged directly into my laptop or phone, and don't seem to be bottle-necked by my lack of an external
I broke the 1/8th inch plug at the end, and it was too much of a hassle to replace
These HD598 C's use replaceable cables, which alleviates any concern I have in case I break my plug
Note that I had no problem using the headphone mini plug on my Galaxy S7 phone - it just seemed like the mini on my amp was an older style that the headphones would not fit.
There is also no quality microphones that I could find to put in the 2.5mm jack, so the only microphone I could use would be a desk one (Which I don't have a desk so that is not possible.) or use my V Moda Boom mic pro, which is 3.5mm
The first is because these headphones do allow some noise to bleed through in very loud environments/when quieter music is playing
Not great for a loud environment, as there is little to no isolation.
Closed back almost completely eliminates background noise when trying to concentrate in a noisy environment.
These are noise isolating but not cancelling, so I don't know how they would function in a loud environment like the rumble of a subway, but they get the job done at my work desk (no pun intended).
