Overall I would recommend these to anyone looking for a well built, comfortable, funner sounding headphones
Out of the box, they have fantastic bass, fantastic overall audio quality, and they SEEM sturdy and well built
It's very well built and feel comfortable even for a longer period of use.
Very neutral sound, accurate, with great build quality, and now with a detachable cable, so I am about to purchase a pair for only $99, £10 less than getting the DT770 repaired
I hear things that are clear in the 770's that I have to strain to hear in the 7506's- Solid build, solid
Driven by a proper source these headphones will give you a humble, yet enjoyable and accurate audio experience
They sound great on their own, but I run them through a preamp for the best sound experience
I will say that the only tolerable experience was playing them without an amp on my iphone, for a whopping estimated 25% less distortion, how are these so hyped? back to the drawing board and my research for a new set of proper headphones continues on...
Buy these if you're looking for an extremely comfortable, very clear and accurate listening experience.
Although Sennheiser still provide better listening experience to my ears due to open back design and sound signature more suitable for classical music, these Beyers come quite close
These headphones had amazing sound quality and comfort but the passive sound isolation was mediocre at best
The passive noise rejection and comfort are good enough that I occasionally wear them without music playing
Super durable can, Superior sound quality, and Superior Comfort = 5 big stars!
Comfort may not be the highest priority for most purveyors of sound, but I assure you, after a couple of hours of listening, they may change their mind
These will not block out your co-workers noise but they do have excellent sound and comfort
If you can get a decent amp maybe 50$ you will find that these headphones are unbeatable when it comes to monitor tracking and producing music
At first, I was worried about the headphone cable eventually breaking as it is not detachable, but from continuous use, I have seen no wear or tear on the cable itself.
I'm not too worried about them breaking as they are not flimsy like plastic beats and the like
I'm using the FiiO E6 portable amp and it is amazing with these headphones.
The Lycan is a transparent amp and will let you hear the sound of the op-amp
I watched the 4K bluray version of Deadpool: it had nice bass during explosions, I was able to hear things I never heard before (this is a good thing), dialog was so much clearer than my tower speakers
Last thing - I was concerned about which ohms model to get
Really disappointed, ordered these headphones for my gf for Christmas because I heard so many good things about them
thinking I hit some bad luck and got a bunk set, I was ready to RMA these but not before doing some research to see if others had this, a google search yielded a vast sea of forum posts from other owners who had the exact same problem, and the ones who didn't have the common blown driver problem agreed that these distort horribly at an unreasonably low volume, even owners of the 250ohm ones said the same thing, high impedance cans should not do this, I would understand having an amp cranked up to max that can't drive these would get you hearing the amp being overloaded, but at barely halfway up
Previously used the average Logitech G35 headset for home and office, but these Beyerdynamnics kill that thing
My other headphones were never big enough to fit over my ears but these are, and its great!I would buy these again or as a gift.
They feel a bit less brighter than the pair of Audio-Technica I have reviewed, but at the same time deeper and warmer
I noticed for a few days now that it was sounding quieter and a bit off
Maybe a bit too expensive but are very nice reference headphones.
Unfortunately the 990's had worse sound quality than the 770 (a bit harsher sounding and not as clear) and were very uncomfortable even after only a couple of hours
I have only used these beyers 3 times and I didn't even bother calling because if the replacement pair is also bad.. .whats the point.
you had no idea were in your long-time favorite songs, a very pleasant experience
BUT IT IS NOT WORTH PUTTING UP WITH THEIR HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, especially if you're a musician who's work flow gets destroyed every time his headphones break.one more time
Amp had a hard time driving the 250 Version at Line Level
I've been calling them every day, multiple times a day for the last 4 days regarding the buzzing noise, and no answer
I wore these on multiple occasions for more than 7 hours and never noticed any pressure points or discomfort
Soft, comfortable, ample padding, removable cups (pretty easy to replace imo), perfect clamping pressure and the most comfortable headphones I've worn to date
This allowed the headphones to make better contact with a larger surface on my head, reducing pressure and discomfort
I'm not too worried about them breaking as they are not flimsy like plastic beats and the like
Though, one thing I must say is that the adjustment slider frames are made out of really cheap and light plastic, which is odd since the rest of the headphones are made from much sturdier materials
They are made mostly of plastic, but it feels heavy-duty and robust rather than thin, creaky, cheap plastic
My other headphones were never big enough to fit over my ears but these are, and its great!I would buy these again or as a gift.
Initial impressions upon unboxing were that these were large, bulky, and the plastic a bit cheap feeling
Because six feet of non-coiled, stiff, rubbery cord is what I want to be rolling over with my office chair wheels.
Wrong! The moment I first put them on, my initial reactions were: very tight band and overwhelmingly huge ear cups that put an uncomfortable pressure on my lower jaw; horrible sound akin to a $5 pair of headphones from walmart; ridiculously long cord that I kept mostly tied together with the included twisty tie
My only complaint about my entire experience with these headphones is that the packaging it came in was not too great; specifically, the cord was warped a little rough and has a two minor kinks I cant get rid of
But they had developed that loose cord, and I thought I should get some new headphones before the looseness became uncorrectable
I carry these with me every day, so the cord gets tangled, and I sometimes step on it
