The Dell is built much more solid with better stand and function, however, the LG probably had better
I brought a separate stand to mount this monitor but the stand it comes with is good enough
The stand is elegant, and raising and lowering the monitor as well as changing the angle is easy
Also, since i sometimes stand at the desk the height adjustment is perfect, really has a nice reach, totally comfortable viewing after adjustment when standing.
The stand is easy to put together and the monitor clicks in seamlessly
The picture just looks better than any other monitor I have owned
great great picture, very vibrant on all colors and sharp.
replaced a cheaper HP monitor with this because apple recommends it...spent better part of an afternoon trying to get it to connect to my Macbook (the HP simply connected when you plugged in the cord)and in the end, the picture was no better than the $200 HP!a TERRIBLE purchase
Crisp picture, very bright screen, accurate colors after some adjustments
It’s probably too big for what I needed, but the screen real estate is worth it
I've never been a fan of curved tv's because I think you lose a ton of viewing real estate, but on a monitor solely focused on one user the experience is phenomenal
For $600, this was fantastic deal and it's even great since it's $550.Pros:- Great real estate (lots of room for multi-tasking)- Great color accuracy (as far as I can
The only "problem" I have is my laptop's graphics card isn't advanced enough to take full advantage of the real estate available, so when I'm using my work system, the highest resolution I can get is 1920 x 1080.
I get enough screen estate for code, browser, etcCons:1
It's not the best IPS monitor I've ever viewed, although things are fairly crisp
Also, since i sometimes stand at the desk the height adjustment is perfect, really has a nice reach, totally comfortable viewing after adjustment when standing.
If you have the ability spend the extra $200 because this is not just a standard upgrade, it is a huge shift into a better viewing world
Everything on the monitor is within comfortable viewing angle without moving your head all over the place.
The curve is perfect for viewing split screen without wanting to adjust the monitor for better viewing angle (which i was doing a lot of when using my old 28" for split screen).
These plugs are straight out, so very easy to use, although if you were wall mounting, you would need to account for that.- VESA compatible so my Amazon arms work great.- Really decent resolution, although I had to bump my dpi up to 125% to read the text comfortably
I went with the CHG90 first, although the resolution of that monitor didn't fit my work at all (1080 high)
Even though the resolution is a downgrade (a significant one nevertheless), larger screen estate was welcome, along with faster boot times, improved reliability, and of course the ultra wide option.
This happens for strictly 16:9 content, like games that restrict resolution due to fairness, or game consoles like the Xbox and the PlayStation
Only thing is, my computer although high end when I purchased it, will only support 900 x 1600 resolution.
Highly excessive IPS glow/light bleed/vignetting - unusable for any professional work
No speakers (in their defense, they did not advertise that it did, but it is a con nonetheless)- Very audible buzzing noise for all audio routed through the monitor (same cables and equipment without the monitor resulted in no buzzing)While I may have been unlucky and received a defective one, the presence of two unrelated issues (bad audio and bad backlight bleed), was less than confidence-inspiring for quality control
Backlight bleeding is a problem, a black screen shows quite a few of them on the bottom and sides
Arrived in one piece, no dead pixels, no bleeding so far
