I was skeptical of not having a desktop client or being able to log in to manage Gryphon like old routers.

Gryphon is easy to set up and the controls are intuitive

Gryphon does very well here with full stealth on all service ports right out of the box

Gryphon uses patent pending machine learning AI to continually improve upon their content filtering.

Need I say more, the company is doing a wonderful job of integrating the latest in cyber-defense and extending range within a home through the Gryphon.

The company did an awesome job on the phone app interface, but this leads to the only small wishful item that I had for this product.

Kudos to the Gryphon engineering team for doing a great job in their router design

In less than an hour, I was able to connect 29 devices and was able to designate them to appropriate users

However, while the speed was decent the coverage was not

And now, with the introduction of the Gryphon router, comes one of the first high speed smart WIFI routers

The slower 2.4 has a broader coverage area while 5 is much narrower but does offer faster speeds

It offers security features that others don't and the speed and coverage are much better than the Airport Extreme that I replaced.

No longer I have frozen applications, speed is truly up to par on all wirelessly connected devices

My network speed is better than before and it even improved my signal range

As an added benefit, it has improved range relative to my old NETGEAR.

I bought one to try and figured I could add a second later, but the range and performance is so good that I don't even need the second.

The profiles are a great idea, I set up a personal profile for my devices that are unfiltered besides malware , but the family/guest/other custom profiles will be a great help in the future.

The decision to not have a web interface to lower the attack surface was a very smart idea.

I do like the homework time feature on Gryphon, but the one thing that I really hope Gryphon will add to their software is a time limit

With Gryphon I can set up the 10-7 time, and times where they can only visit certain sites using the homework feature, but there isn't a time limit...that means I have to be the police more and lets face it, life is busy and we get distracted, so I need all the help I can get with the internet just shutting off after their allotted time.

You can set up times that the devices have internet access, but you cannot set a time limit within those hours.

I hoped that Gryphon would also offer the time limit feature, but it doesn't.
