I use it mainly for video, but photo is great, fast and sharp, no stabilization though

I primarily shoot video, and as well as it takes great photos, my primary use is video

I have the Samyang 12mm and while it takes great photos, I don’t enjoy manual focus

Raw photos look great on my 5k screen, I use Capture One "Sony" edition for minor tweaks.

Obviously not as thin as some of the other brands, but shoots great photos for the price

The lens feels well made and comes with a lens hood and even a nice case, neither of which I would expect for the price.

It comes with a sturdy case and a bayonet hood which make the look and feel of this lens even more impressive

If you have a sony a6000 and want an excellent wide angle prime, this is a lens you'll come to like very much

I do own some Contax G lenses which I love but the 28 has some issues on edges as does my 21 F4

Nice wide angle lens that does what it's supposed to do, however it's kind of cheap feeling and the finish is very easy to scratch

To me a 12mm - 15mm (24-30 equivalent angle of view) really feels more natural and then I want to jump to 40mm (80 equiv. or greater angle of view) that represents when I mentally focus on a subject

I'm still getting used to using a single focal length and framing by moving backwards and forwards instead of zooming, but its pretty fun

I have used, Zeiss, Leitz, Nikkor, Zuiko, and Schneider prime lenses, so I can appreciate quality optics from both my eye and experience.

Well, I feel kind of silly writing a review for an item that already has over 200 reviews, and almost a straight five-star rating, but I have to say that this is one of the most impressive lenses I've used on the micro 4/3 format cameras

I thought a lot about keeping this lens just because the images are so damn sharp

The reason for all of this effort is that this lens makes beautiful images

If you keep it in auto focus for video you will get this nasty jittery image, completely unusable

And i produce some great images out of this lens whether it was night or day.

The color this lens produces is beautiful, and the clarity is great, even towards the edges

The lens is sharp, has very accurate color, and controls very well for pincushioning and barrel distortion

This lens does the trick, with images that are crisp and detailed with nice color saturation.

so, when you shoot "standard," it actually WILL be standard; if you shoot "vivid," it will BE vivid without bizarre colors showing up)++ Made in Japan with extremely high manufacturing

Aside from the rattling sound when this is attached to the camera and off (normal according to the various sources I have read), this lens focuses fast, is sharp and has very good color rendition

I’m an amateur photographer and the lens seems to be an incredible value for the quality pics it produces

bottom line this lens is a great performer and a great value to boot.

My lens tests are pretty much backyard comparisons, but clearly this lens is sharp and it carries its acuity quite a ways out from the center, where all lenses are pretty good these days

It is clearly far better in every way, except that last little bit of wideness, than the Sony 16 and I do not think using even exotic and vastly more expensive lenses will result in a noticeably superior image (although I would use them if I had them!).On a Nex this is a 28mm lens, not terribly wide but very useful for those of use who do not get into the extreme wide angles

Certainly cheaper, although not as exciting, than making perfect $6000 lenses to fit on more basic cameras

Although this has a 2.8 aperture (as does the sony, this lens is not as sharp as the Sony at 2.8
