*REALLY* want to like this device, but I may have to return it.
your device compatible with Humana Vitality and other programs that incentivize use of these devices
Overall, for an amateur runner, this is a great training device - just strap on the wrist and go, without having to worry about chest straps and footpads
This $250 device doesn't work with the Humana Vitality program either.
Improve your software and then you will have a very good device!!
It feels simple and utilitarian compared to some of the more expensive options out there but that is what I appreciate most about it - I just strap it on and go and it does its job
the HR monitor never work well for a whole running of 1 hour, it only works in the beginning before I get to sweat, I tried to wipe it or adjust the strap, unfortunately it won't get work until next running, except the HR, other options are working well, but without HR monitor, why I bought this watch?
Although, it's a great watch and perhaps the best option in the market right now for my needs, it could be a lot better.
But if you're sticking to sprint and olympic distance races (and shorter training days) this is a good option for the price.
but i do not like the fact that when used on a Treadmill you have to adjust the distance by many as 1 mile or more, and well i have not figure it out completely how to take all the
The swim mode is fine if you only swim laps in a pool because the GPS is inactive during swim mode, so it will not record any distance data in open water
Very reliable and now cheap GPS watch with wrist based HRM
Great watch, quick gps fix and no problem with measuring heartbeat
Oh, the GPS is super fast, maybe just 3 seconds to lock-on.
The heart rate monitor is great, and the GPS is super fast.
Before my purchase, I would have thought I do not need too many fancy features of a running watch, yet I feel disappointed in following:- manual lap is by tapping
The price from this seller is fantastic... my only beef is that the "free style" activities that come as an option in the multi-sport model require a gps signal..which means that the feature is useless indoors...and 90% of my "fee style" workouts are indoors.. so basically a useless feature...fix that (should be a no-brainer software patch..who thought to tie freestyle workouts to a gps signal..stupid!!!!
The best feature of the watch for me is its compatibility with running apps like Strava, Runkeeper, Nike+ etc
This feature is garbage
I took an honest look at how I would use my watch, not just the cool features (like sleep monitoring)
However, they all work as advertised and if you're into using the capabilities, then you're good.6.
but i do not like the fact that when used on a Treadmill you have to adjust the distance by many as 1 mile or more, and well i have not figure it out completely how to take all the
Did not work as advertised.
The Tom Tom works as advertised and I find it to be more accurate than the freeware run apps and a smart phone
A watch that doesn't work as advertised and a lack of support equals me returning this watch and going with another proven brand.
If you want more you can set heart rate zones, alarms and other things but for most of us trying to get fit and lose weight those metrics are more than enough because then we wind up analyzing data, not creating data which means no exercise
Very comfy to wear, and I feel like the heart rate is pretty accurate as well, although I have not compared it directly to another unit.
Easy to use, GPS is fast, and the heart rate is accurate
However, I wanted to have the capability to do some heart rate workouts without wearing a stupid heart-rate monitor
So at the end of the day, I have a great strapless heart rate monitor that does nothing more for me.
but i suggest TomTom fix these issues and support more devices quicker
When I contacted the tomtom support team to resolve the issues, they took my information and had a representative call me back
Now I can run and see all my results without phone :-) super tomtom
Now I am stuck with this defective unit and TomTom is telling me that I need to sent it back to USA just to be verified by the tech support
I purposely ran various designs on roads to see how accurately the three would track; the TomTom was dead on; you could actually read what I ran on the road.
If you sweat a lot or run in humidity the heart rate monitor is worthless.
Since we first got them, the heart rate monitors haven't properly worked, and I can no longer get any of my activities to sync
I absolutely love the integrated heart rate monitor -- this has solved my long dilemma of uncomfortable monitor straps falling off (my torso is rather tiny
So altogether, the heart rate monitor is ridiculously inaccurate, the GPS can't measure a similar distance to save it's life and forget the speed.
The heart rate monitor is an excellent bonus, and I have used it more than I expected
battery died 5 hours into a 7 hour bike rideand when I finally uploaded what it did record the elevation was all screwed up. now to add insult to injury even though the TomTom customer support acknowledgment there is a problem with the watch they're going to charge me a 15% restocking fee
But battery is kind of poor, not annoying but once or twice a
On a 100 mile road ride, the battery died in a little over five hours
The battery rarely lasts through a long event, like a metric century or a marathon
But battery is kind of poor, not annoying but once or twice a
I'm willing to chalk this up to a defective unit of a new product, and with Amazon sending me a new one, I hope to edit this review again to look more like my initial glowing review
Well i believe when you purchase a 300U$ watch the minimum that you can expect is a quality control that can avoid the customers of defective units like this, TomTom seems to be ignoring that
but i do not like the fact that when used on a Treadmill you have to adjust the distance by many as 1 mile or more, and well i have not figure it out completely how to take all the
Anyway, ignoring the app shortcomings, I'm going to say that this is a great little unit if you don't need absolute accuracy
Now I am stuck with this defective unit and TomTom is telling me that I need to sent it back to USA just to be verified by the tech support
