I think these are excellent speaker stands and are an especially a great value.
I think for the price (remember you are getting two stands) this is an exceptional value for a quality product - well designed and very accommodating to various speaker set ups.
Looks to be a great value even if we have to paint them next year.
These stands, as bad as they are out of the box, are a good start to build to your liking.
These are a MUCH better value for your money, don't waste your time with these garbage stands.

These are very Nice simple clean looking stands , decent quality and made from steel, easy to adjust , I myself had no problem popping the plug out of the bottom to run the wire through
Nice simple appearance--kinda industrial looking actually (which I like)
I was able to run some Monster cable through the speaker stand posts, and out through the bottom for a nice, clean, look
Overall, it is functional and a decent looking stand for the price

I should have done more research before buying these, and as an engineer, I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't look enough to find ballasted type stands with hollow base plates.
I will probably end up putting a couple of small screws in the speakers to connect them to the top mounting plate too
The top plate has two screw holes in which you can attach your speaker (if it has holes on the bottom).
I'm confused as to why those things were in there in the first place.c
The platform is far too unstable without the foot and the plates are to abrasive on my laminate without them.

Getting this balanced was a little tricky, and since these speakers are rounded on the bottom instead of having sharper edges, the clamp doesn't quite go up high enough to fit these as well as I would like
would recommend using on hardwood floors or atop a hard surface/pad
The rubber legs are meant to be adjustable, so even if you have an uneven surface, you can make it level
Mine were not perfectly level/flat on the base of the stand, and wobbled even on a hard surface, and were much worse on carpet where my speakers go.
They stand better on hard surfaces as the bases are square and not tripod type

There is a channel to feed the speaker cable although I had a hard time using it with 14 gauge speaker
All in all, I'm very satisfied with these stands, and they seem like they'll last a very long time, without fear of rust.
Going to ask for a replacement adjustment bar, don't want to waste time sending the whole set back when I actually need these to hold up my speakers
If you have sony speakers and still thinking of checking other stands then you will be wasting your time and money stop looking and buy these :-)pics in the product description are very accurate.1
No doubt will last a long time and substantial to hold the weight claimed.

Screws on side also very difficult to unscrew without power tools.
