Tech support got that solved

I have laid it out again for tech support and await their direction

After 50 minutes with Canon tech support - and kept answering the same question over & over again regarding feeding - I just returned it.

I realy love this machine.

and I think this machine is comparable, if not better.

Good quality

Very easy to install, easy to use and picture is really good quality.

HOWEVER the paper feed is less than reliable, the paper support extensions are flimsy (and have since broke off), and clearing jams is not always easy.

Works as advertised!

I finally found an error code in my system and discovered the error was that the cover was open, much like an error for a printer.

Cannon tech support indicated I could change rollers - which hadn't even met their # of documents scanned "lifespan" by this point

I contacted Canon product support and they assisted in downloading the driver and S/W and the scanner now works quite well again!

I did have a little issue setting it up that I believe boiled down to me not being tech-savy...tech service was great (and easy to understand).
