The prior releases on prior systems, surpassed this version.

So if you enjoyed the Wii version, you’ll feel no difference using the Switch controllers

The wife and I loved that version and it is still our go to one for a great Mario Party experience.

Now excuse me while I go buy a used Wii U and play a decent version of Mario Party.

We all have a good time playing an updated, good looking version of Mario Party.

A pretty solid % of minigames are legitimately engaging.- Each character has their own special dice block to use instead of the regular block if you wish, and it is a really fun new addition to the game.- Outside of classic mode, the River Survival, Partner Party, and Toad's Rec Room are fun little novelties

Overall, this game is the BEST FAMILY GAME ON NINTENDO SWITCH

As a mom of two, ever since we got the switch, I’ve been trying to find a family game that our whole family can enjoy

You cannot play in portable mode or use a pro controller.

You can play this minigames in the board game mode, as well as in separate minigame-only modes

Good mini games, boards are pretty good, motion controls are kinda fun too and much more accurate than Wiimotes used to be

The only other complaint I have so far is only 4 boards

The same boards from the main party boards are made more grid-like for this mode

I really miss the big boards where you had to gamble and strategize when and where to go and what to do

I am just in shock of how small and boring the boards are

The game requires you to play with a single uncomfortable joycon "controller".

Due to the mini game gameplay style, It does not support the switch pro controller or handheld mode

Although the problem is that most of the game can be cleared by just shaking the controller

The boards are more interesting than the simple squares on 10, but since they're larger, that makes your chances of actually being able to reach a star even more random luck.

Every time when i am in the first place 3 rounds before the end of the game & when the experts announce who will win the game they use to help them by giving them special tools & shot cuts to get more stars and win the game.

To me, it seems like the boards are too small, the stars are too cheap and the board gives out too many coins

But what really blows about this game is the lack of real online multiplayer

My only issues are the lack of content and the underwhelming online mode

Another complaint I have is the lack of online multiplayer functionality

The lack of maps alone should be enough to convince any Mario Party fan of that

Unfortunately the lack of first party Switch titles leave me starved for games and my standards continue to lower.

I recommend having an extra pair of Joy-Cons around for best multiplayer experience, but don't worry about having two Switches and two copies of the game, as the multi-screen minigames are underwhelming in my opinion.

My only regret is now I have to buy an extra set of Joy Cons so my whole family can play together
