The granular control of apps is missing, meaning your child will have access to every app in the ecosystem, ... they will suggest that you pin the prefered apps, but this doesn't block undesired apps.

However, I want to stress that there are some flaws with the battery (is not holding charge well), the charging port seems to be of poor quality as its becoming harder to plug in.

Both still work great; some reviews mentioned theirs not holding a charge or freezing or not turning on.

We were on the edge about buying this due to all the negative reviews

I’m writing this review in hopes of saving at least one parent the HEADACHE of having to return this thing over and over again

Amazon saw my negative review and graciously refunded the downloaded games and walked me through the procedure for using parental controls

The games and free time is nice, the set up of the books is a bit wonky not as easy to zoom in on some small font

but it is a little bit hard to use it after using Samsung for many years

It freezes up quite a bit and will exit applications without any error messages.

The content age ratings are also a bit odd - ex: pacman and teenage mutant ninja turtles appeared to be the same age group and while we have no concerns about the fantasy violence of pacman, ninja turtles are not something we want to have him playing yet.

the touch of it it can be a lot easier to drag your finger across there is a big of resistance there but nothing to complain too much about
