Was very happy with these headphones for ~5 months until I lost all audio and noise cancelling in the left ear (apparently this is a relatively common problem).Bose agreed to replace the headphones, but I have to pay to have them shipped to them
Now the bad: approximately 11 months after purchase, my headphones started to lose noise canceling in the right ear
I loved these headphones - very good noise cancelling and good sound
Great noise cancelling and great sound for both music and movies/tv
they are amazing headpones with great noise cancelling and good sound quality
A $300 pair of headphones should not have such a weak cord, and furthermore should actually work on the first day of using these headphones!I am extremely irritated that I have spent almost 2 weeks trying to make these headphones work.
NOT TESTED:Have not used the cord for music or calling, cannot say how well the cord mic works
Put these on in your living room and marvel at how suddenly quiet the room becomes.+ plugged into iPod classic, sound is crystal clear; listening to audio books is like having the reader in your living room.+ volume controls and pause buttons on cord work beautifully+ cups completely and comfortably cover my ears - and they're large+ these are light
forget I have them on and break the cord rendering the headphones useless
so if I pull a boneheaded play, I either pull the cord out or break it
Bucause of the loose Jack connection the sound only works in the right ear then the left ear then both then no sound at all you must constantly move the Jack connection to receive proper sound I tried two sets to make sure factory defect
The slightest movement of your head will compromise this connection and you will lose sound in one or both ear cups
There was a spotty connection and if the cable was touched during use the sound to the right ear would cut out
This new unit uses a standard jack and the slightest stress on the jack causes it to loose connection
They would not maintain a consistent connection and were very sensitive to movement.
I've always looked upon Bose as being a high-end brand, something that people could be proud of, something solid to hold and to use
Check the many poor reviews of the replacement cable on their website to see how many people have similar issues
If you google "Bose QuietComfort 25 issues" you will see that many people have had this same issue.
If you look at the negative reviews, you will see many people have the same problem: they stop working in one of the ear cups...that's the most common problem
Overall, I recommend these to anyone who travels or commutes on public transportation or airplanes a lot since they block out outside noise very well, or people who are listening to lectures for class or music while studying
I have noisy upstairs neighbors and these headphones work fantastic for muffling loud footsteps and help me fall asleep
I even used them in a hotel with noisy neighbors and enjoyed a great nights sleep.
I have hyperacusis and misphonia, and needed something to help me tolerate noises in my home office in the city (construction sounds, noisy neighbors, etc.)
I have noisy upstairs neighbors and these headphones work fantastic for muffling loud footsteps and help me fall asleep
But these headphones have managed to nearly completely block out the noisy neighbors that live above me
Totally meets expectations, high quality of sound, good noise cancelation, I'm really glad having this item at work in noisy office sometimes.
Great for air travel and for use in a sometimes noisy graduate student office (even without turning on the noise cancelling feature).
I work in a noisy office and these have been a real life saver for me.
I am a regular person and not a sound engineer or anything like that; I purchased these noise canceling headphones because I work downtown and my office is surrounded by heavy construction project noise, combined with a loud office environment in a job that requires concentration; on top of that, I am noise-sensitive
away.-The microphone is not good for noisy environments such as an office.
