I expect the SB 45 USB to give me just as many enjoyable service years albeit minus the motherboard noise and at a cheaper price than anything else I found with the same performance and features.

I'd recommend these to anyone that want an affordable pair of headphone with a relatively good microphone for a decent price.
It does a fairly good job of picking up my voice while ignoring ambient noise, such as the air conditioner that is running about 3 feet from where I am sitting
These headphones also do a great job of blocking out noise!
I suspect the crappy USB amp used here isn't powerful enough to drive the speakers, other possibility is the horrible job the headphones are doing, re-sampling.

I tried sending them an email to let them know the problem and that it's not OK to charge customers for THEIR defective product... surprise surprise, it came back undeliverable
so all of you do not buy this headset at all defective product all the other views people write about this product are all liars,and this needs to be removed.
The warranty might be lifetime but you have to mail it back at your own expense AND also include 9 dollars after which they might decide it is your fault and not the product's fault

I suspect there is a design problem with them them that causes an eventual loose connection, and then a total failure of the microphone after a while.
However, I don't like the mic, especially for its poor connection

I'd pay extra money if I knew connections were robust on a headphone but reviews don't talk about that
After only using it for a week, its starts to have unstable connection with my computer, and it often takes me may times of twist-and-turn to get it connected.
I don't especially like the full earmuff effect though since my environment is not very noisy.
It was so convenient to be able to make Skype-type calls to family and friends, and have them hear me (good mic), and me hear them (nice speakers in the headset) even in noisy environments.
