The Epson Workforce ES-55R Portable Sheet-fed Document Scanner simply works

The only thing more elegant would be Epson's own ES-60 that is wireless and you don't even have to plug a cable in at all

Good price easy use.

All well and good, though, as I am using it for my in-home office; and its size truly makes it space saving

Although it is described as primarily for business purposes - scanning docs, receipts, etc - (and I will be used for that as well), I have to say that I am more than happy with the quality and speed of scanning photos

Many settings are adjustable, like PPI and skew

Since I am on the go a lot these days, the compact size makes it really convenient

Picture quality is great, speed is great, size is awesome

None user friendly and a pathetically small screen with micro type.

I don't think is does a great job on reproducing photos but that is not what it is designed for.

There are a lot of portable scanners out there, and many do a good job

Excellent receipt scanner

My ambition was to selectively scan receipts as they relate to home improvements, property repairs, etc on multiple properties, get the excel file and the scanned receipts as perpetual documentation

The scanner also offers a way to scan and organize receipts thanks to its software, and this works like a dream as well

I own lots of Epson products, they rarely make a bad product...this scanner has a tiny footprint, is very portable, and it does not requrie powerso for travel, when u need to get documents into pc, as to edit or send, this is light years ahead of taking pix with phone and sending, which on the road, is often what I resort to...at home, great by my keyboard, log receipts, superb...fun software, still getting through all its features for receipts...for large volume, of course, this is not the product, but for travel or receipts, tough to beat this little gem

Included software is good, though it doesn't itemize receipts like I expected; I didn't need that feature so not a big deal for me

This model has been greatly improved as the Smart Scan software included is just great

The scanner works ok with Windows Fax and Scan but that software is very limited compared to the Epson software.

* Software for the Mac is intuitive and easy to use* SUPER portable in backpack or computer bag, and USB powered from any USB port or hub

The software that comes with this scanner definitely boosts its versatility and efficiency

Tech support is pathetic.

Tech support is pathetic.

Contact Epson- made 3 calls to tech support, all 3 of which ended in receiving a 'problem solved' email with a different call reference number, even though problem WAS NOT resolved.

Tech support is horrible as well.

I've never had to use tech support.
