Really great printer that I purchased for a fair price.

The price was affordable for all the features, especially the scanning feed tray....love that!

A little frustrating but hard to complain too loudly because of the reasonable price for a versatile machine.

With the HP the combined cost exceeds the price of the printer.

The tech support person was on top of her game, was patient, and resolved the problem

the worst part of my ordeal with this printer is when i decided to called hp tech support, i get ppl from Philippines that doesn't know

It's a known issue with this printer from what tech support told me at HP

First, the setup instructions are impossibly difficult, and I finally gave up and called a tech support guy to come over, so add $250 to the price, which is what I did.

Printing jobs and copies come out perfectly clear and very fast.

This, like the prior HP model, does a good job of printing and copying.

It has a smaller than average footprint and frees up a great deal of space on my crowded desktop.

Printing is secondary to scanning for me, and a monochrome laser works well for that workload

Not the first HP computer product for me (three computers and a a 12 year old laser printer that is still working beautifully), and won't be my last.

I get it its a cheap laser printer and this structure of splitting the toner and drum is to cut mfg costs and get better returns.

Inkjet printers seem to sell very well, so HP does not seem motivated to perfect more economical laser printers like the M130fw.

I decided to try installing the official software (it was working great out of the box, and I'd hoped to avoid the bloat), since none of the on-device settings menus even acknowledged there was a scanner on the device

I was initially wondering if it would work for a variety of OS, and it ended up working on Win 7, Win 8, and Win 10.Now, I personally do not having to go online and download software for something I buy; call me a bit outmoded, but I prefer to be able to install offline, and I like having my software included instead of having to store something on my own dime

I could attempt to contact HP support in order to get the thing to print or I can just add this to the enormous trash heap of history and get another device from another company, because this printer sucks.

Wireless Laser Printer is a compact and quiet device which was easy to set up and has functioned without problems so far

Literally bad machine.

None of these were deal breakers, mind you, but put together, this is not one of my favorite machines.

This is a sleek little machine that prints in less than a second

I tried many fixes, but after running the self diagnosis, the machine told me that the wireless failed.

After about a week I noticed printing to it wirelessly became an issue when the printer goes into energy saver mode and puts the wireless NIC into a deep sleep

I would have liked duplex automatic printing, not compatible with the HP Eprint app and setup was a bit intense and time consuming.

Print and scanning is faster then the old ones and the office girls like them so far

Great print quality, but quite noisy

This is a sleek little machine that prints in less than a second

so YMMV.I'm not sure if HP purposely gimped the software on this thing, but it's not the first time a hardware manufacturer has done something like that when selling a budget-minded version of a more expensive product

All-in-One printer/scanner is no exception to HP's history of great products

The product is no good and HP makes any person to person help almost impossible, while having lame suggestions on their help pagers that anyone would do on their own.

HP usually produce great products and this HP LaserJet Pro

The HP Smart app is very useful and convenient, and also well designed

So: One star off for the terrible screen design, and one star off for the flimsy paper handling.

After all, if I recall, HP is VERY good at wrapping their IP around something valuable, and if I recall, the toilet was re-designed at one point to save on water per flush.

The unit is very well designed, offering robust multi-function capabilities in a compact form factor.

The paper input tray is of an unusual design with an open front edge with the potential to allow dust to settle on the paper, but you can always remove the top sheet if the printer's been sitting unused for a long time

We have issues receiving fax and cartridges are expensive.

I also disabled the fax because every time my phone rings and the call is not a fax the printer hangs and needs to be reset.

It sends the faxes slower than I have ever known a fax to be sent

We opted for the complete software package, which also included the fax setup software (easier to customize on the computer rather than on the small printer screen).The printer screen is rather small, which makes for frequent "fat-finger" errors on my part, but more importantly, the design of the screen hinge is such that the screen cannot be angled back enough for me to view the screen when I'm trying to enter data

I recommend this printer highly, even if you do have fat fingers.

I also have "fat finger" syndrome which causes me some problems with this printer, but my fat fingers cause me problems with other things, so again it could just be me

but I deducted one star for the small screen and the fat fingers factor

I do not have fat fingers, either, but instead long ones, and people with joint issues or that are simply in a hurry are at a detriment with that type of setup

I don't recommend using the touch screen as it's quite small and easy to fat finger and just not worth the hassle when you can simply use the app.
