LG 27UD58-B 27-Inch 4K UHD IPS Monitor with FreeSync
Size:27 Inch
Seeing is believing with the LG 27ud58 4K UHD monitor. Whether your playing games, watching movies, or just reading from your screen, the 4K UHD display provides stunning images at four times the resolution of standard full HD. The 27u...
Bought this on sale on Prime Day, because I really wanted an external monitor for my 12" Retina Macbook (2017) that would give me crisp, clean text
One thing I love about the Retina display is that text and photos look like high resolution print: incredibly smooth with no noticeable pixelation at a standard viewing distance of > 1 foot
As a software developer, I really like the high resolution text, but I'm not too worried about the color accuracy
One thing I love about the Retina display is that text and photos look like high resolution print: incredibly smooth with no noticeable pixelation at a standard viewing distance of > 1 foot
This makes things look blurry, but otherwise text is not really readable
I like the small size because I use it for video editing, as well, so the resolution crammed into the tiny 24" works good when doing any graphic design work, and just makes everything look crisp and clear, even if it's a 1080 source upscaling to 4k
Cable (Thunderbolt 3 Port Compatible) in Black - 6 Feet, and it works perfectly at 4K with
There can be some lagging at the highest setting, but that's because despite supporting 4K, my graphics card in the Mac is still not able to fully support 4K as Apple claims
Just got it today, plugged right into my Intel NUC Skylake and worked perfect
I own an IT company and purchased this monitor just to test it beside my more expensive 4K displays
However, I am glad I didn't go with a 28+" monitor because the size of this one is perfect and I have no troubles reading text on the screen from a normal viewing distance
As far as this particular monitor, it's just the right size for my personal desk space
— about 4" wider than a full-sized keyboard — and a perfect size to get retina resolution at
So if the 24" is the better size for you, then go with that
It's the perfect size for a standing desk, and looks great with both Mac & PC.
The main issue is poor black quality, IPS glow and backlight bleed in the corners
Poor quality on inferior resolutions, when i'm playing demanding games and wanna get better fps, i downgrade resolution, but this monitor have terrible aspect on lower resolution than 4k.
Quality of monitor is great but you can't raise or lower the height of it
The good:- Good image quality (what to expect from an IPS 4K?)- Simple, direct
Overall still great quality and good response time however.
I rather have the 4K ISP over the 1080P TN due to the rich vibrant colors and resolution upgrade of this monitor
The resolution on this is really amazing (which I expected from a 4K)
Poor quality on inferior resolutions, when i'm playing demanding games and wanna get better fps, i downgrade resolution, but this monitor have terrible aspect on lower resolution than 4k.
It does support the maximum "scaled" resolution (4K) that my MacBook supports, however I cannot read anything that small on a 24 inch monitor,
Excellent monitor and resolution in a reasonably-sized monitor.
The base has a sleek design that is sturdy and supportive
The design is great, and colors are vibrant and accurate enough to do graphic design and editing
Was really excited for this monitor but unfortunately it has significant backlight bleed (see attached pictures), and a very noticeable dead black pixel (s)
NOT HDMI)- Well designed on screen menu, I like the single button and joystick in one for choosing, navigating the menu, rather than most monitors that have 6+ buttons on them.- Fast enough response times for gaming unless you're some hard-core competitive gamer that can only exist with a 1ms response display
The screen size is great, the design felt good, and the aesthetic look is a nice touch
But, as a GENERALIST monitor that uh... SEES THE FREAKING SIGNAL OF REGULAR COMPUTERS!????? Apparently that's expecting "too much
I like LG as a
At 1440p differences are barely perceptible, and at 1800p it looks almost as good as 4K but renders 31% fewer pixels, making it a good compromise of performance and eye-candy
this is probably as good as
I've used DisplayPort at 60Hz with no issues, unlike my Samsung U28E590D monitors which periodically lost the signal
At 1440p differences are barely perceptible, and at 1800p it looks almost as good as 4K but renders 31% fewer pixels, making it a good compromise of performance and eye-candy
Of course, NO monitors on the market have HDR, so if your looking for a monitor with better input lag, be prepared to pay two or three times as much.
it!I use this for gaming primarily and the input lag was so bad that all games were unplayable
The main thing I was worried about was the input lag on this monitor since that was the problem on my 55 inch 4k Samsung when I tried gaming
I've been using this for both single player and online games, including a number of online FPS games, and the response time and input lag appear to be excellent in general
