It works great and I like the fact that it uses the same standard USB 3.0 connector that's on the computer as well as on the hard drive instead of that funky one that they came out with.

After having this drive for a while I want to warn you ... broke down and I lost everything I had on it ... it seems good quality but far from that ... do not buy it ...
The HDD itself is pretty responsive (although I had some real hiccups upon first using it, but that might've been my fault), and the rugged design means I don't have to worry as much as with other hard drives

I love the look and the way the cable quickly attaches to the unit for easy access and to prevent losing it
Furthermore, the way that the USB cable is carried for this product can significantly be improved

Nice looking external hard drive, several times smaller in size than my previous 2T hard drive from WD

(The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars was due to the imperfect USB cable storage and the military-grade claim.)

This is a plus compared to other mainstream EHD out there, where you have to pry their brittle plastic enclosure and may cause scratches or damage of the casing
They don't stick out past the hard plastic top and bottom however so not sure how effective they would be in dampening the shock from a fall on the corners which is probably the most lethal spot
This is like comparing an iPhone that is wrapped in a hard plastic case and then calling it military grade armor

This is the nicest, sturdiest little external I've seen, I kicked the darn thing across the room (on accident, not intentionally) and it hit a cement wall, and it still plugs in, starts up, and works as fast as when I first got it

All I was told was what I already know (the connector being loose), and that I needed to order a new enclosure for the drive (since the drive itself is removable.
