This item twice now with a slight drop losses the ability for the computer to read the drive.

The company does not include data recovery in their warranty and moreover will not replace my device until the old one is shipped back to them--making it impossible to even TRY the data recovery process

The tech support says there is nothing they can do for you but recommend one of their affiliate 3rd party data recovery software companies to recover your data
