Put off getting one of these smart home devices then mother-in-law gave us three of them

I'm going to have to try Google's smart home device to compare now.

I'm just now venturing into the world of smart home so can't wait to see what else it can do

Yay..had the best birthday because of this little number..awesome sound and all my favorite tunes.

The echo has great sound, music is pleasing if you can coax Alexa into finding what you want to listen to.

My daughter plays the magic door game and she has those awesome creepy sounds

I use it mostly to listen to music and it’s great sound for the size

I am a prime customer and I order a lot from Amazon but the Echo is junk.

If sound quality is important to you, buy this one, not the newest generation.

Sometimes she doesn’t do what she’s asked, and doesn’t seem to know much but plays music good and the sound quality is good

Echo also has better sound quality and I use it with Amazon Music Unlimited daily.

This second one is in the bedroom and is the perfect addition to the room!

It’s a nice addition to have in the kitchen and the sound is very good

It is a great addition to our household great for playing music getting Weather sports updates it is great

Alexa is a great addition to any home, although if you have an accent she gets confused or doesn’t know how to respond.

In the last few months this device will randomly stop playing music; ignore commands; and generally wakes only about half the time, and that's when I'm standing right over her

This is an expensive device to only get to use a dozen times

I really liked its sound quality and it integrated really well with every smart device in my house

This device worked for just over 1 1/2 years before it died

This device is rendered completely useless without wireless internet

Great product, would have ever guessed it was refurbished.

The product was excellent until it stopped working completely

My conclusion is the product is poorly made and not worth the expense.

We use it everyday and enjoy amazon music with the echo

I love this but if you want to listen to unlimited music, it comes with a monthly cost for Amazon Prime.

I love that it integrates with other apps and have flexibility to program certain features but very recently in the past 3 days, the music would stop playing and the "skip" or "next:" voice command would not work.

It was fine in the beginning but after some of the latest updates Alexa either dosent respond and the voice command shuts off in seconds, ask you "what do want to hear?" and she will ask AGAIN "what do want to hear?" or just plays the wrong music or station

I totally enjoy the music and everything that my echo does for me

My favorite feature in drop-ins to the other rooms of my house

I loved this feature since I move to different places around my room doing different things, the music has the same crisp sound

I like the sexy Alexa voice and the Echo device has an amazing feature, it can hear me from anywhere from my house.

Love the shopping list features of the app and the device!

Two features I am not crazy about: (1) it does not seem to automatically turn off, so the battery will run down if you don't turn it off manually or plug it back in; and (2) the on-off power switch is a bit tricky.

buying this on prime day (and with my discount) was the best thing i ever did.

I wouldn't say that's a bad thing though because it's always funny when it happens.

great Speaker sounds as good as my first one, I just need to figure out how to make them play music at the same time

I like the speaker on the generation one echo better than the 2nd gen

Its a great blue tooth speaker but the monitoring it does is very creepy.

Everything the Echo does is due to internet connection, so if it cannot connect to the ​internet it just becomes a very overpriced wired Bluetooth speaker

This has a good speaker and great for playing my Prime Music.

Definitely, miss not having Alexa to talk to in my car and at work.

My family is going to miss Alexa but all amazon offered me was %15 off a new one.

But recently our Alexa will not work unless you unplug it then plug it back in

Okay, so I love my Alexa and use a lot of the features on it

Also, I disabled the doorbell as I hate the intrusive noise (but not as much as my dogs do)

I only give it 4 stars, because sometimes it does have connection issues, where I have to fully reboot the thing AND has randomly activated and made weird noises when no noise is being made

I don’t like the fact that 70% of the time when I request music, Alexa can only play “excerpts” and I need to pay a fee monthly to get what I want.

Where it fails, is answering questions, getting fun facts, or even worse, playing music for long periods of time

My only issue is the fact that I used up all my date playing music with Amazon music

I don't like the fact that you have to have prime to play some songs.

I don't like the fact that everything I say to her is kept by Amazon, unless I take the trouble to go online and delete it.
