The contrast of bright and dark colors against each other looked off and even with messing around with the settings I couldn't find anything that looked nearly as good as my Asus monitor

The vertical support fits pretty tight into the base and I think some people may not realize that thumb screw is even there and sticking out and causing the wobble problem.

Also, the lack of VESA is a problem for a lot of people, which I understand.

The only problem is it wobbles a lot and the display shakes while typing too fast, like now :P

Like many others I have had a problem with the monitor blinking on and off constantly.

I am quite amazed by the transition from 1080P to 1440 P even on a 25" monitor in sharpness and clarity.

I have 2 of the ACERS now and they work just fine very good video quality, however the stand is a bit weak, and could be improved, but its adequate with careful handling

1440 is a bit rough to drive on a single video card in games

The color is OK (i was actually a bit disappointed in this because i selected an IPS monitor for the better color reproduction), viewing angles are OK (should be a lot better on an IPS), light bleed is a bit stronger than expected based on other reviews (especially in the lower corners), resolution is a plus but not very noticeable at 25" (again, "It's okay"), minimal ghosting (some is expected w/ 60hz refresh).

Cons: quite a bit of IPS glow, but no more than expected for this awesome price

The Acer G257HU smidpx 25" IPS display is the first IPS panel I've ever owned, so after doing research and reading customer reviews I was naturally a bit freaked out about things like "IPS glow" and "slow response times" and other such things since I've owned only LCD monitors with CCFL and LED backlit TN panels in the past

Also the buttons are a pain to use, maybe I'm not used to them

my only complaint would be the buttons for adjustments, it takes a little while to get used to

The software for adjusting the image has a lot of features, even though pressing the buttons is tricky, and you need to get used to it

, it's hard to what know which button is right, which button is left, or the enter button.

The little symbols at the bottom of the popup menu are guiding you the correct button on the bottom edge of the monitor.

Oh yeah, there were a few dead pixels on my display too

For, the price compared to what else is out there, this is a very nice unit.

Quality control issues really hold this one back though.

Edit: I sort of just parroted what was said about the DisplayPorts being dysfunctional on Windows 10, but I gave it a shot anyway and so far I haven't had any flickering issues that have been described with other reviews
