Much better range than previous Linksys with no external antenna.
He wanted me to have the best range possible since we were now setting up a net work that would include our smart TV, radio and cell phone (we do not get cell service here but need the wifi for use of a square card)
Also, my wireless signal has significantly improved range.
Also, my wireless signal has significantly improved range.
The signal is strong in our 2 story and I can even go across the street and still have signal...if it could only reach the bar down the road
Now in the living room everyone gets great signal and very fast internet
I think this because the first time I tried to use a device in the living room there was very little signal initially, this the router seemed to "lock on" to the device, and signal became strong and fast and didn't slow or diminish afterward

Once, I called their tech support, they kept me on hold for a long time, and then gave me to some guy that was clueless and could only follow a flow-chart they made for me
When it comes to the Customer Service, I would prefer if users did not grade unit LOW because they could not get the tech support on the phone
It is no fun to call tech support and know 10 times what they know about their products

My only complaint is that I had difficulty finding where to get DHCP to assign permanent IP addresses to WiFi devices--it is in the same place as hard wired IPs are set.
However, the set up was tricky because I only use IPads and we have no hard wire
I thought it might not be as fast as I wanted but my recent speed test hard wired 107/13 Mbps (download/upload) and wireless 25/13 on a 100 Meg cable connection vs my old one which was getting about 5 Mbps wirelessly and 35 Mbps hard wired
