It is a serious intentional detrimental product decision that Fujitsu would make such an amazing piece of hardware and then decide that the only software that can talk to it directly is ScanSnap Manager

This is a great product - compact - easy to install, with multiple scanning options

This scanner keeps malfunctioning, whenever I turn this product on it never works, it always says that I disconnected the driver when it is perfectly connected, other girl in my office has the same scanner and hers never has the same issues that mine has, witch leads me to believe that I received a defective product, it has gotten to the point where in order for the product to work I have to uninstall the software and then install it again witch is a total waste of time and makes my job so much harder

As others have said the output tray does a poor job of catching the paper

When you try to scan multiple pages it often fails because the feeder does a poor job of separating pages

It does a poor job of handling long receipts and differnt size pages

Does a great job but has connection issues with the wireless.

I had a perfectly good, working scanner until Fujitsu pulled the plug on a driver for the latest OS.

I just purchased this to replace my older version S500 that gave me 11 years of hard and faultless work, but eventually gave up the ghost this week.

After some support from Fujitsu the Scansnap application works well with NEAT and my receipt processing.

We had been using a multi task machine for scanning and were not having good results with poor quality documents.

But quality aside, their technical support was probably the bigger issue.

With a tiny bit of maintainence (cleaning the feeder roller and lenses) they are the fastest most efficient way of getting rid of paper ever!

There's no working support number or any way I've been able to find to get support.

And if you scan to JPG, you are always prompted for 2 extra steps to save the files into other than the default directory after every scan sequence, and it can happen quite easily that you unintentionally can erase the so-far scanned images

The biggest shortcoming with this is that while it can be used over WiFi the setup is clunky at best (requiring connection by USB to initially set up) and it isn't really "networkable" in that it is connected to ONLY ONE COMPUTER at a time

Fast, easy and able to connect to send the scans directly to HUBDOC using scansnap cloud (free account) or easily switch back to scanning to my computer or email.

Fast scanning, easy to store the PDF, excellent clarity.

The mobile app scanning is a nice feature when you don't want to mess with the computer

Small profile, can scan direct to cloud services without computer attached which is a must more useful feature than it sounds on paper

It has a reasonable-looking feature list, but nearly every feature is flawed in some way that makes it unpleasant to use.

But.. The software can suck from time to time, mostly when updates are done

I scanned one whole file drawer in about 3 hours without one paper jam

From my Mac I put the documents into the cloud as well as a external hard drive.

The documents scan to pdf and are then easily stored in electronic files (backed up in a dual core hard drive onsite and in cloud storage offsite)

The software bundle is adequate for what I want (saving to a local external hard drive), though it has options for scanning to email, Google Drive, etc., and given how the rest of the thing has performed I feel confident that that would work well too

Accommodates multiple places to scan to, flash drive, email, hard drive etc.
