Yes, you can call HP tech support, if you can locate their phone number, and if youcan understand the tech person's english, and if you still have sufficient patience
Contacted Tech Support and was online with them over 2.5 hours and kept getting transferred from one department to another.

The best price I have found in getting genuine Canon replacement ink is to buy a large black and the colors combo for $62 and the individual small black for $14.For the first 2 years that I had my old printer, I was buying ink once a year for around $75.

The product did not work even though it was brand new right out of the box
I normally don't write product review's but this product is sooooo bad and the HP customer service support and policies are even worse that I felt that I needed to say something.
I like the product but not the referral to a 3rd party for installation assistance service; the latter was a rip-off and gives me cause to be suspicious of anything/everything that HP might hereafter recommend!

The monthly fee for ink that seemed like a great economical option is awful.
This one is much slower due to the auto duplex (old 8500 you had option) and does not like any paper except 8 x 11 copy paper.
Easy set up with my computer, no issues printing quickly and I like the option to pre-order ink before I need it

Additionally trucking the heavy unit to someone who might charge as much for repair, as a new model would cost... makes a new one an even better option

Bought it because Consumer Reports gave it a good review
I know it's easy to gloss over a bad review especially when you see other good ones, but I promise you, save your dollars and your sanity, get another printer.
Other brands were getting better reviews but I wanted to stay with HP.

I have had constant paper jams since I got the printer.
Problem is, because they made this printer to be from feed and front eject, the paper jams are next to impossible to clear up (short of taking the printer apart).

The printer had two paper jams within the first 24 hours of use.
We had the printer just long enough to hit the end of the Amazon return date when we started having continuous trouble with paper jams.

I’ve read in a couple of forums where people are trying to scam the system.
If HP allowed the use of cartridges associated with Instant Ink after a plan was canceled, I think it is fairly obvious that people would attempt to abuse the Instant Ink program
Easy setup, I read that some people have issues, but my setup only took a few minutes
If they didn’t establish a limit, clearly people would abuse it.
Looked online for answers and many, many people are having the same problem with this model and other HP printers too
